It's hard to believe September is here upon us already but that means today, the 1st is Story Telling Sunday as created & orchestrated by Sian From High In The Sky.
Today I'd like to introduce you to this little fella. He may look tall here but in fact he is less than 2 inches in height. What he lacks in height he makes up for in character & to me he is a constant heart warming reminder of his previous bear loving owner.
He doesn't have a name as such but that doesn't stop him from catching my eye every morning smiling from his shelf in our bedroom.
His previous owner I mentioned was my Aunt & God Mother, Pam. Pictured here on the left with her big sister (my Mum).
As an adult Pam had a thing about bears & developed quite a collection which we were all guilty of adding to! I never thought to ask her why & it never came up so it's starting point is a mystery to me.
On the 23rd of this month it will be 7 years since Pam lost her fight with cancer aged just 60. When I look at this bear lots of happy memories return of this lovely lady.
Such vibrant colours. What a lovely reminder of your Aunt.

ReplyDeleteShe did have a lovely smile: I think Missus Wookie is right. maybe that's where your lovely little bear got his cheerful demeanour from? Something about him just makes me want to smile :) A perfect Precious. Thanks Sheena
