March Hybrids

Over the last week I have been playing
with ScrapaGoGo's March Kit
What a Picture !

I've been using these fabulous free hybrids too
which are designed especially for the kit by Kirsty Wiseman,
and available on the Club House
free to all members.

Just Stop

This is a photo taken of my teenage Son
in the summer.
Usually he is very tolerant of his scrapbooker Mum
but on this day he had just had enough !

The papers are Jillybean Soup Pasta Fagioli,
plus loads of the hybrids.

I tucked a hybrid behind the photo for my journalling
of how the photo came about.

Sketch 89

it is my teams week
to produce a layout with a twist.
This weeks twist is PINS.

I've used photos from my
daughters 10th birthday party,
when she went Ten Pin Bowling
with her school friends.

This Lo was created using the remains of my
ScrapaGoGo June 2010 kit
plus some Basic Grey Max & Whiskers embellishments
and alphas from Pink Paislee & American Crafts.

DT weekend

What a fabulous weekend was had in the rural countryside of Suffolk
in a Huge Chalet, big enough for us all to sleep & scrap in :)
It was great to get to know new team members better
and Vicki joined us as an honourary member too.

Will all got stuck in to the Lush march Kit,
did a Show & Tell with our Lo's for the March Getaway
and watched Take Me Out with a glass of wine.

Janice ensured that there was loads of lovely food
for all & we just couldn't resist the heated indoor pool.

Unfortunately Sarah & Kirsty weren't able to join us
this time, so what better excuse to start planning another !

GoGoing Away :)

This weekend all the GoGO Girls

for a fabulous weekend together.

It will be a great way for us all
to get to know each other better,
laugh, eat, scrap & swim !
It has a heated indoor pool :D

hopefully will blog some pics of it next week.

Great Weekend...

For Christmas I gave Paul tickets to see
Chess- the musical,
he saw the original production many moons ago
but this was my first time.
Finally on saturday night
we got to see it and
I was totally blown away by the superb
performances and love triangle story line.
After the performance we attended the
50th birthday of a local friend,
so treated ourselves to a night of luxury
at a near by hotel.
So a fabulous weekend all round.

Sketch 87

Yesterday sketch 87 went live
on the Twisted Sketches Challenge blog.
This is my first as part of the team
& the TWIST was comfort.

All the supplies I've used are from ScrapaGoGo's Lush February kit,
their Hybrids plus their Loyalty stamps.

Recently I've started to scrap some of our old photos
& this is a particular favourite from 2004 !!
of Harriet & I have a cuddle whilst away in Tenerife.

It all started with a chance remark ...

from the lovely Mandi over on ScrapaGoGo's forum.
Why not bury a time capsule
whilst the foundations were being laid at the house ?

Well, this idea was embraced by the whole family
& a biscuit tin duly found for the purpose.
We each added a couple of small things
which summed you up as a person.

( mine are a woggle- scouting, a handmade card - crafting
& a plastic chicken - for the Girls !)

It also holds a special bear, golf ball, smurf,
Disney badge, semi precious stone, 2011 Olympic 50p...
A number of family & house photos
and a covering letter
just to explain this odd assortment of bits to a stranger !!

Harriet also wrote a beautiful letter
explaining who we all are & why we were building our house,
it brought a tear to my eye TBH
so I printed off another copy to show her when she's older.
Then at the weekend we all went up
& buried it under what will be the family room floor.

I wonder who will find it ?
and what condition it will be in ?

Blueprint To Go...

This is ScrapaGoGo's February
Blueprint To Go.

It was exactly the inspiration I
needed to scrap this photo of my son
with my February kit.

Happiness is ... Gaming Online.
I cut the chipboard banner into "pacman" shapes
& gave them a lick of yellow paint.
I also used loads of the free hybrids
which are available monthly
to co ordinate with the kits.

Month in Review

This is a new monthly challenge
over on ScrapaGoGo's forum
to review each month using a 6x6 format.

This size is so quick & easy to complete
which makes this mini book really doable for most scrappers.
Here are my January pages
using my January kit.
The left page concentrates on our house demolition
whilst the right is an eclectic mix
of our normal family life !

I added a journalling tag behind one page
so I could document all the little things
that will make 2011 memorable.

Pleased to share...

that I am now a Twisted Sister x

I've joined the DT of this amazing Sketch Challenge blog
& I'm really looking forward to creating with their sketches
along side their fabulous team.

Here is my take on this weeks sketch
with the TWIST - MAP.

These photos are from a family trip to Paris in May 08,
we spent loads of time on the metro as it rained so much !
PP - Basic Grey Wander
Tickets - Tim Holtz Die & Stamp.

Pay it forward...

A little while back,
I joined in with a scheme on FB
called Pay it Forward
where you promise to send something handmade
to the first 5 people that comment on your post.

Well these little beauties were duly dispatched
to their new owner this week
& I know she's really pleased :)

Sock Bunnies x

Now what shall I make next ?
