My Month in Numbers - August x

Here we are at the end of another crazy month, where the days & weeks have whizzed by in a flash. Here is our August in an alternative style created by Julie Kirk :)

66 Gromits found in total on our 2 day visits.
1992 The year the Bodyguard Movie was released - Harriet watched on line clips before we saw the stage show in London.

208 miles driven to attend Michelle & Steve's wedding & a chance to catch up with the "Swimmin'Women"
14 blog posts written - about average for me.

21 name tapes sewn in. Much less than usual- don't think Dan wants his stuff labeled for Uni!!
1093427156. Dan's UCAS number notifying us of his successful entry into his 1st choice Uni.
1 new recipe tried - Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

46 candles - well there should have been on my birthday cake but it would have meant getting a bigger one!!
£260.70 spent on new gardening equipment & plants in our first wave of the garden sort out.
Finally a communal number Julie asked us to count...
26 Visitors to the house for meals, friends of the children & to celebrate my birthday.5 of us live here...but not for long!

Pop on over to Julie's place to see what everyone else has been up to x

  1. Oh Congratulations to your student!! Love the Gromits - and wish I could see them! And a busy month by the look of your garden, which looks fantastic! J x

  2. I love the pictures of the gromits, that are just too cute!
Congratulations to your Uni student: big changes ahead there. I'm sure he's going to love Warwick.

  3. What a lovely selection of numbers

  4. I love Wallace & Gromit - how fun to be surrounded by them! Lovely garden bits and yummy looking cake. What a fun peek into your month.

  5. I think my comment just disappeared..

Best of luck with the new term

That's a lot of name tapes! I'm smiling to see that I'm not the only Mum who still sews them on the traditional way

  6. How odd, my comment disappeared too.

I'm very impressed by your number of blog posts! You garden bed looks lovely and I'd like to see the Gromits too :)

    1. sorry you had problems with blogger :(

  7. When I set the Communal Count asking how many people lived there - I never realised that it linked up with all those fresh plans for students moving away to Uni. Congratulations to your son.

I love the zebra Gromit! And you look really great in both those photos [I thought the first photo was of two girls at first].

We've been chopping our shrubs etc back this month and remembering when they were tiny little things, feet apart, with lots of sad looking empty soil ... and how they've now overtaken the entire front garden and we haven't seen the soil for years. I'm sure with this fab weather it won't belong before yours settle in and transform!

I've added you to the board now Sheena:

    Happy September!

    Julie :-)

p.s: The questions for the 3nd 'Communal Count' are now up on my blog if you fancy joining in again :-)
