To celebrate The Queens Diamond Jubilee, on tuesday we invited some friends & family round for a get together with buffet style tea, to watch some of the coverage on the TV & toast Her Majesty on 60 wonderful years.
Harriet was really keen to help & made us cheese straws & mini meringues sandwiched together with strawberry slices & fresh cream & they were as yummy as they sound.
We had cheese & pineapple hedgehogs just like when I was a kid, egg & cress sandwiches, scones, trifle, sponge cake...
We all dressed for the occasion in red, white & blue & had a great time together laughing, eating, chatting & reminiscing...
