Recording 2014.

Having completed Project Life for the past 2 years I was a little hesitant about whether to continue into 2014. As to be honest it can take up quite a lot of my time & I noticed particularly last year that I'm scrapping less & less which is something I'd like to redress this year.
But over New Year my family got out the 2013 albums & reminisced & laughed over the things I had recorded & chatted about what had happened & what they had forgotten...thats when I knew I would do it again this year but try & pare it down a little to reduce the time it takes me to complete it.
So here are my pages for January including...

... a curry night with friends, holiday injections, visiting my MIL, new shoes...
... A family tea for 17!, baby Jack, baking & Jamboree meeting...
... a scrappy weekend away, the weather, Rugby & our new chicken...
...coffee addiction!, choosing GCSE's, fundraising, awards & a meal out...

Can you see any differences ?
I'm trying to use saved ephemera more to help tell a story & I'm restricting myself both to how much time I have to dedicate to it & also restricting the supplies I use, rather than hunting for the perfect embellishment. I'm making simple month cards using a cut file from silhouette. I'm also trying to use more stamps to add quick & easy decoration to the cards.
Many thanks for looking x

  1. I love memorabilia on pages. I'm such a collector of it myself. My eye here was drawn to the little card congratulating Harriet on her "integrity". Nice one!

  2. Loving all the snippets of past BG collections - as an avid user of "old stash" myself, I love it when I see other people using it too, and not just the latest collections ... agree with you about the time element, absolutely!

  3. Well done for keeping it going. Am thinking that I might dabble my toe and do a monthly spread. I seem to take far too few pictures these days and used to enjoy capturing all the little details.
