Inspired by a Song...

   Whilst looking through Februarys kit 'Eclectic Me', for some reason the West Life song 'Flying without Wings' popped into my head, it must be the gorgeous little birds that triggered it so I set about creating a Lo for this title. This is not normally the way I work but I was up for the challenge. These photos of my Daughter on the swings seemed just right.

To give my Prima bird somewhere to perch I crafted a button tree using all the buttons together to create a feature with them all sewn down with a little thread.

The decorative strip was cut from the My Minds Eye paper with both the ribbons threaded through the cut holes. There were no worries about the length of the title as there are so many letter stickers on the Crate sheet & I added a hybrid heart & a stamped birdie too.

My Month in Numbers.

Inspired by the posts made by Julie Kirk last year,

 I thought I would give My Month in Numbers ago in 2012.

As a different way of documenting my life.

January 2012

4067 miles travelled when returning from Florida.

1 new brand spanking house :)

1 Million boxes unpacked- or at least thats how it feels !!

3 pieces of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake consumed.

16 tradesmen on site - 2 carpet men, 4 builders, 2 decorators

1 carpenter, 2 electricians,1 plumber, 2 kitchen fitters, 

1 bathroom fitter, 1 gate man.

4 bouquets of  flowers delivered.

15 blog posts written.

60 change of address cards mailed.

2 new recipes tried - shortbread & lemon syllabub.

In awe

I was visited at the weekend by my friend Pam, a lovely crafty lady who I originally met at a crop in Nuneaton.
She brought us a house warming gift which left me totally speechless.

A Pam Hyams original. I've seen a number of Pam's wonderful paintings over the past few years including when she exibited her work at a gallery.
I can't put into words how shocked, thrilled & surprised I was by her amazing gift & her artwork will be hung in our lounge & will always remind me of how blessed I am to have such a generous talented friend.
