Recording the good times.

After spending a wonderful weekend surrounded by family I realised I hadn't shared the pages I'd created using some of my Brother & SIL's weeding photos from June.
They were made for my August HLM post using Basic Grey Barista.

The 'spread the love' envelope contained seeds for the guests to sow & I wanted to incorporate it into my page.

I couldn't choose one frame so I used lots! Plus I hand cut one to take this stunning photograph.

Focusing on a flower. All the leaves are hand sewn in place.
For all the details of the products & techniques used please hop on over to the Hey Little Magpie blog for details.
many thanks for looking.

Me on Monday

Today finds me joining in with this meme from Sian x
Our Saturday was all about fetching & carrying as we gathered 40 chairs, 6 tables & countless glasses, plates & cups & saucers at our home before heading out for a special family meal out to celebrate my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Our Sunday saw us hosting afternoon tea for 45 people in our home with my lovely parents as guests of honour. It was wonderful to see them surrounded by friends & family laughing, chatting & reminiscing. With hand written  messages on their tag tree, fizz to toast this wonderful couple & a beautiful cake(made by a friend) the day was just perfect x

Today finds me shattered & planning an early night.
Hope you have a good week x

Big Birthdays

It's been on of those years for big birthdays of both friends & family. So I thought I'd share some of the cards & gifts I've made for them.
First up is this quilt I made for my friend Eileen's 50th.
I will say it took me 6 months to make in fits & starts but I'm really pleased with the result & hope it is keeping her warm & snuggly up in Scotland.
When it comes to making cards I always turn to my silhouette for help.
This is my Son's 18th card.
Friends 50th
Friends husbands 50th
Brothers 40th.
I know they are quite simple but I'm happy with that.
Thanks for looking.

Me on Monday

Today finds me joining in with this meme from Sian x
This weekend has been very animal orientated. On Saturday I went over to the Toft Alpaca Farm to do a class that my number 2 Son gave me as a birthday gift.I will be honest & say that is the class example you can see & I only made the tail of mine whilst I was there. Sunday found us in Birmingham visiting The Big Hoot, as it gathered together all 89 of it's owls prior to their auction. This Harry Potter one is a favourite of ours.
Today finds me trying to tick some things off my todo list as half term starts this friday!!

Have a good week x

Happy Bunny

Whilst away scrapping a couple of weeks ago I made this page using a cut file our friend Kay had found from the Silhouette store. I teamed it with some of the Crate Paper - Wonder range & a photo from a few years ago of H & her rabbit - Mickey Jump.
After filling some of the segments from papers from the 6x6 pad, I added a little cluster of embellishments & my title. There was nearly a disaster when the blue bunny sticker disappeared from my desk but luckily it was found after much searching as he's much too cute to miss off.
Many thanks for looking x

This weekend, Saturday found me at the monthly Crop, finishing crocheting Flop & devouring the last of Matts 18th cake. Sunday saw the garden get a makeover in the sunshine before resting our weary bones in front of Downtons wedding.
Today found me snuggled in layers and boots to stay warm!!
Have a great week

Love to Create

Whilst I was at the Moxley crop 10th Birthday Bash they had a photographer there, taking both formal & candid shots on the Saturday of us all. When I looked through them I found one of me I really like, it's a little blurry but thats not a bad thing as you get older;) & I wanted to scrap it whilst away last weekend with friends.
Love to create.
I planned to use the Crate Paper range, Craft Market but I ended up mixing in other papers too including a very old Basic Grey paper which I used as my background.
I gathered all the craft related embellishments with a veneer embroidery  hoop. I added the HLM sticker to the camera lens.
I used Septembers mood board from Jot as my inspiration.
