What a week...

We've been north of the border spending some time with my brother. Plus trying to see some of the sites in & around Glasgow. Here are the highlights of our whirlwind trip.

The Kelvingrove Museum

A superb free museum catering for all age groups with a fabulous restaurant & an organ recital each lunch time.

The Riverside Museum

Glasgow's new transport museum full of treasures which had us all reminiscing about our childhood! Who remembers the Sinclair Spectrum computer? They had 2 on display, it was my brother's first computer.

Xscape

The children enjoying the Robo coaster! Not for the feint hearted!
A great centre full of activities where we made the most of a wet day.

The Mackintosh House

The largest collection of Mackintosh artefacts in Glasgow. A fab showcase of his work in collaboration with his wife.

Loch Lomond

A relaxing change from our site seeing & made even better by the sunshine.

It's been great to catch up with my Bro & see more of the city he lives in.

  2. I love Kelvingrove - like walking onto the set of Night at the Museum. The transport museum was in the process of being relocated last time we were down but it is top of our list for the next visit. Did you go to the Burrell Collection - that is fab.
