Pay it forward - 2

I signed up for the Facebook
Pay it Forward Scheme
earlier this year.
Today the 2nd of my 5 recipients
received their little gift.

I knitted this woollen heart for Jane
& covered it with lots of buttons.

I made this tiny red heart for
Jane's friend Debbie
(whom I know)
so she didn't feel left out : lol:

Now to finish gift number 3 !

Did you Getaway ?

I certainly did :)
Last weekend was ScrapaGoGo's GoGo Getaway.
We had the most fabulous weekend
with all these wonderful Ladies,
at Theobalds Park Hotel.

It was great to catch up with old friends
& make loads of new ones too.
The weather was kind to us
& gave us a chance to stretch our legs in the sunshine.

These are the 3 classes I designed & taught,
the delegates chose 7 from a choice of 21 !

More sneak peeks...

Here are the peeks for my
other 2 GoGo getaway classes.

CHIP IN

'Get in line to make a 12x12 creation that is totally rad! Chip away to make a great impression, this is our primary aim, although a squirt along the way may mist your vision you will certainly not be board. No need for wearing plaid trousers to class although an Echo of retro clothes may be spotted!'

PHOTO LAB

'Develop a little fun and unpredictable beauty in the realms of plastic toy cameras from the past, some may say we are a little hip in this approach but the results are almost (auto)matic! So lets filter in a snapshot for this 12x12 LO class, a tint of lo-fi film and get snapping for success.'

I'm getting really excited now,
this time tomorrow we will be all set up
& ready to roll.
It's going to be an AMAZING weekend.

Soup Spotting ...

Today I was thrilled to find a Lo
I sent to Jillibean Soup
appeared on their blog
I had so much fun making the page embellishments,
I just wanted to share.

Sketch 93

It's the turn of my team
over at Twisted Sketches this week
& the twist is Swirl.

Focus

The full title reads...
I need to focus on our future.

I love this photo of me taken by
the very talented Kirsty Wiseman
during ScrapaGoGo's last GoGo Getaway.
The paper is October Afternoon, Prima Swirl,
Jenni Bowlin Vellum Butterflies, copper paint,
metal flower & brad.
Alphas- Making Memories & Thickers.
Thanks for looking

Caught on camera...

ScrapaGoGo's march Kit,
What a Picture !
is full of lots of fabulous products.
Two in particular caught my eye
when I was thinking of making this Lo.

Caught on camera at 42.

The Jillibean Beanstalk Yellow/ Orange Bakers Twine
& their Journalling sprouts
were just made for each other,
and with 10 yards of each colour in the pack,
there is plenty to play with for this technique.

Start by taping the twine in place on the back
of one of the Journalling sprouts
and then come up between the scallops.
If you want your pattern around the edge return
the twine either between the second or third scallop
repeatedly till the design is complete.
For a more covered journalling sprout wrap
the twine through every fifth or sixth scallop.

Fab weekend...

Last weekend a bunch of us
spent a couple of days
at the home of our dear friend Jilly.

We always have such fun when we are together,
scrapping, eating, laughing & being silly !!

Kirsty brought her Toby Tab caravan
which we slept in on the drive !
It was really cozy despite the
minus conditions on friday night !

Roll on the next one xxx

Twinkle Toes.

'Fancy a class that lets you sparkle and shine for your very own personal debut on the silver screen, well Stardom will be waiting in 12x12 format if you audition for this one! Hollywood glamour of old meets modern day vogue leaving you totally star struck and sparkling on set.'

If you fancy a scrapping weekend away,

More March...

This is the fabulous ScrapaGoGo March
What A Pictiure Stamp.

I can see for miles & miles.

I used the stamp on this Lo to create
a cute row of bunting blowing in the breeze
using all the little off cuts of my kit
that I can never bare to part with !
including some of the packaging too !

The Basic grey Doilies paper was
cut in to stripes to give a watery effect.
The Jillybean Alpha was mounted on cardstock
& cut out to make it pop off the page.

More with march's kit...

Here's another Lo I made with ScrapaGoGo's March kit
What a Picture !

Living in the Fast Lane
I loved the colours in this kit.
The papers used are from 3 different manufacturers
but co ordinate together beautifully
as you would expect from this a fab kit.

I have converted the photos into polaroids.
They feature photos taken from and of
New York Yellow Cabs.
Some of the cab rides I endured were worse than
roller coaster rides & had me clinging to my seat !!

The twine & buttons are from the add-on Go to Pieces.
The alphas are stamps & hybrid letters.

Sketch 91

It's the turn of the A Team this week

Here is my interpretation of this weeks sketch
with the Twist - Chipboard.

My 3

I've been wanting to scrap this photo for ages
as it's my favourite from last year.
They all look so happy , healthy & friends !!

The papers are My Minds Eye, So Sophie &
Basic Grey, Marjolaine. Chipboard number, Sassafras.
Jenni Bowlin, Bingo Card. Basic grey flower.

The chipboard leaves were sprayed with Mists
to get the speckled shiny surface.

The wooden looking strip is wood veneer
from Creative Imaginations which I bought in the States.

catch up post...

I just realised I hadn't shared my ScrapaGoGo Month in Review
for February.
I so love this little 6x6 size,
it doesn't take long to complete them,
so it's so easy to stay up to date.

February highlights include
the GoGo DT Weekend, Valentines cakes,
matts new haircut, Harriets riding,
Chess the musical...

Also I was away at the weekend
scrapping with these gorgeous girlies
and Claire, Jackie & Julie too.
They really know how to make me laugh
& I'll try & remember to share some of the Lo's that I made.

slowly but surely ...

Well with all the mild wet weather we have been having
the house build is progressing nicely.
Paul & I laid the cornerstone
which I gather should bring us good luck !!

The internal walls are going up
and the ground floor rooms starting to appear.

This will be our lounge.

This is the front of the house
with the gap for the front door taking shape.

Hopefully, it will continue at this pace
in the coming months.

Chinese Whispers Circle Journal

Well it's time for round 2
of this ScrapaGoGo CJ.

Adore
This is my Lo,
featuring a photo of my daughter
when she was only 2 months old.
ScrapaGoGo's February Kit
was just perfect for this lift.

The Prima and American Craft flowers
interspersed with Jenni Bowlin buttons & hybrid hearts.
Title hand sewn using We R Memory Keepers
Sew Easy Floss.

This is Josie's fabulous lo that I lifted.
I think I've kept pretty much to it
& I even used the same title.
