Welcome to my little corner of the world on this Story Telling Sunday. Today all over blogland people will be we sharing something that is precious to them following the inspiration of it's creator Sian.
For this month I wanted to share with you my most precious possessions... my rings. I have a special reason for waiting till now to show them to you as in 3 days time we will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary! I can't believe where the time has gone, well, till I look in the mirror !!
Here is my plain gold wedding band, my solitaire diamond engagement ring & my diamond & Ceylon sapphire eternity ring which was added after the birth of my second Son 15 years ago.
I wear these rings every single day, 24 hours a day, as I've learnt from experience to keep close the things I cherish but recently I had to remove 2 of them when prepped for surgery & boy did my finger feel funny & the first thing Hubby did on my return to the ward was slide them back on, where they belonged :)
I thought I'd also share a photo from 20 years ago when our wedding bands were all shiny & new.
Many thanks for stopping by & pop on over to Sian's to read lots more lovely stories x
Beautiful. I have an eternity ring that looks almost identical. I wear my wedding ring, engagement ring and eternity ring 24 hours a day too. The difference with mine - is that I can't get them off unless I lose about 2 stone in weight!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary
How beautiful, I'm surprised you took them off for the photo. Congratulations to you both on 20 years of blissful marriage xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary Sheena, you have photographed your beautiful rings very well - fittingly to celebrate how precious they are to you.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you both. I love your photos for the story but particulaly the first one. I find it so difficult to photograph my rings, I see now that I 'need' an angel to help me...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this story and the wedding-day photo of your rings--to me that is one of the best shots of the day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary Sheena! I hope you have a wonderful celebration.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to your story today too. We were talking here about rings yesterday..and the possibility of replacing my engagement ring (which was bought when we were students) to celebrate our Silver Anniversary. But I'm still happy to wear my original with pride. 24 hours a day like you.
I love your photos here - just beautiful.
Happy Anniversary for one May bride to another! I love your photo of your rings and mine are also always on my finger - and I remember them being removed and my wedding band covered with sticking plaster too - when I had my children! Thanks so much for sharing your precious today. J x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rings! CONGRATULATIONS on 20 years - a beautiful accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 20th anniversary. Your rings are beautiful and, most of all, precious.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have an engagement ring one day I think.... perhaps not. Our engagement was only five days anyway. The wedding rings won't come off because we are now both too fat - so much food in thirty two years!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing
Happy anniversary, have a wonderful day. My mum has virtually the same lil collections, although her rings have been through the mill a bit. She's had her wedding ring cut in 2 because she's allergic to bee stings and her eternity ring is now completely different due to the changes in her knuckles from arthritis,
