Today finds me joining with this meme from Sian x

This Saturday found us staring early dropping 2 of our children off ready to start their Jamboree journey, then we joined old friends for a lovely weekend at a music festival. Sunday found us enjoying a lie in & a tasty brunch whilst tracking the kids delayed flights on line.

Today finds me catching up with a ton of errands including driving across town parcel collecting luckily for me it was scrapbooking supplies :).

Here I am again joining in with this lovely meme from Sian x

Our weekend started early with a lovely curry out with friends on Friday. Saturday had us all doing different things, camping, playing golf & movie marathoning. A slower Sunday featured a spontaneous trip to the movies & surprise iced biscuits for pud x

Today finds me helping with the Jamboree packing, rolling t shirts army style & naming kit. What would you choose to pack for 3 weeks in Japan? this teen has minion chopsticks, inflatable crocodile & selfie stick!! I cant wait for the photos!!!

Love this Moment.

Whilst away in March with some scrappy friends I made this page featuring my Husband & our Daughter taken quite a few years ago now. 

I wanted to try something a little different. I used a cut file from the Cut Shoppe & instead of cutting it, I used a sketch pen to draw the design onto the cardstock. I coloured it with watercolour paints. When it dried I wasn't too sure that I liked it so I added a large square of vellum over the top to soften the colours & then I liked it a whole lot more. I added some layers behind the photo & a few embellishments & sequins to finish the look.

Me on Monday

Today I'm joining in with this lovely meme from Sian - Me on Monday - ish! The school holidays have started here & consequently I've lost a day somewhere!!

Our weekend featured on Saturday, the Allesley Festival, where after watching the floats we cooked up at storm of burgers & hotdogs for the jamboree & the evening found us celebrating with live music at The Jambeque with our Jamboree fundraising complete. Sundays weather however changed our plans & we enjoyed watching the last day of Wimbledon from the comfort of the sofa :)

Monday found me walking in Cathedral Lanes looking for Coventry inspired gifts for a Japanese family plus picking up little extras for the kids x

I'm joining in again this week with this meme from Sian x I'm not totally crazy, I know today is tuesday but a lack of internet yesterday plus not being able to clearly read my phone to blog on it (it's definitely an age thing!!)conspired against this post going live on Monday!

Last weekend found me on Saturday, scrapping at Moxley Crop, in fact less scrapping & more chatting, dancing & singing at Coventry's Godiva Festival, Sunday started with a welcome lie in followed by pottering in the garden between showers.

Monday found me intensively spring cleaning the bedroom of Son no.1 before he comes home from his hols.

Scrapping old photos.

Last month on the Hey Little Magpie blog my post was all about scrapping old photos with new paper collections. When I say old photos I really mean ones from the 1960's & 70's!

This one features my Dad & brother & Shimelle's True Stories collection.
