Scavenger Hunt PART 2- Brisbane.

Following on from my last post here are more of our photo finds for Rindas Scavenger Hunt, this time from the Brisbane part of our trip.
5) A rack of post cards.
Good value at £2.30 for 10 on Brisbane's South Bank.
7) A rural landscape.
Love this view of the Glass House Mountains, photo taken from Montville, QSD.
17) A Lamp post.
18) A waterfall.
This is Curtis Falls in the Tamborine Mountains. Due to little rainfall it's not as impressive as it can be, but still a lovely place to walk to.
Alternative A: A kite.
Found hanging from the ceiling of The Brisbane Museum.
Alternative B: A bird house.
Found in our friends garden.
Thanks for looking.

Scavenger Hunt part 1 - Bangkok.

After taking part in Rindas Photo Scavenger Hunt last summer I was hopeful that she would run this event again as it was a great game to play as a family whilst we were away. I was so pleased when I saw the list go up on her blog & I made copies for each of us ready for our summer holiday.
These are our captures whilst in Bangkok.

3) Birds on a wire.
4) A group of tourists.
It made me smile watching these monks have their photo taken at a temple.
6) An urban street scene.
The streets of Bangkok are crazy, full of slow moving traffic, pavements full of street vendors & thousands of overhead power cables not far from your head!
12) A Mascot.
Ronald McDonald in a pose we don't usually see.
14) A Parade.
Can you call this a parade of Monks? We were fascinated as they as they walked about in this formation.
16) A sign in a language other than English.
Found in Chinatown.
Over the coming week I'll share more of our finds from other places we visited.
Many thanks for looking.

Pile of Postcards 6 & 7.

These are the last 2 postcards I received as part of the Pile of Postcard Exchange organised by Sian over at From High in the Sky.
This card from Sara travelled all the way from Madison, Wisconsin. This view is literally identical to one her parents have from their home, lucky things. Sara describes her hometown in wonderful detail & tiny writing on the back which makes you want to  visit there ASAP.
This beautiful spanish card arrived from Alison. I'm not sure if she lives there or was just visiting but all the views certainly make it look like a great place to be.
I've throughly enjoyed being part of this swap & both sending & receiving postcards from all over the world.
Thanks again Sian for all your organisational skills xxx

Love Hearts.

I'm really excited today for 2 reasons. Firstly it's my first time blogging for Hey Little Magpie & secondly it's my birthday :)
Here is the Lo I'm showcasing over on their blog.
Love.
I particularly love this photo my Son Matt took of us whilst we were visiting  Byron Bay, on the Gold Coast of Australia in 2012 & felt I wanted to make a special page to showcase it.
Hop on over to the Hey Little Magpie blog for all the details of this blog post & lots more great inspiration from the rest of the team x

Pile of Postcards 4 & 5.

I loved being part of this Pile of Postcards swap organised by Sian & here are 2 more that arrived whilst I was on holiday.
A fabulous Keep Calm card from the lovely Sandra. Whom I met once many moons ago at a crop & who I now follow on her blog & IG.
A lovely card from Deb in Arizona which unfortunately got a little damaged on it's journey over but luckily you can still read it's apt motto.
Many thanks Ladies for choosing & mailing these cards to me. There is something lovely about receiving proper post.

Getting back to it.

I always find when we return from a holiday that it takes me a while to go back to my scrap space. There are loads of reasons for this but mainly it's the washing & ironing mountain!! sometimes like this time, the jet lag zapping my energy & also just getting out of the habit...
So to get me back on track I was thrilled to discover the Summer Scrapbooking Challenge over on UKS organised by my team mate Niki. I thought I'd start with the first challenge of 10.
The papers & word used are Amy Tan Plus One with a Silhouette Cameo file overlaid on the top replicating the design on the library. The books stamp is an old one I'd not used before hand cut.
The photos & journalling record a great day out in Birmingham with 2 scrappy friends to explore the new library with it's balconies, garden & Shakespeare room.
As you can see I've stuck pretty much to the sketch & I love the finished result.Hop on over to UKS to see this & the rest of the challenges.
