more Lo's to share

from Octobers kit from Scrapagogo

So Beautiful
The Fancy Pants flocked acetate is a perfect back drop
for this photo of Harriet & I taken on my birthday.
The swirl of pearls is made from the wire Prima branch
wound into a circle.

Disney Magic
The soft colours in these Sassafras Indie Girl papers
were just perfect for these photos of Harriet holding Tinkerbelle.
The title is a combination of hybrids & applying
the Maya Road glitter to a printed word.

Enchanted Woods

Welcome to the Enchanted Woods
This is Scrapagogo's October Kit.
I've really had some fun with this kit
and all the lovely add ons go on sale on friday.
At the Bottom of our Garden.
The woodgrain stamp is so lush & perfect for using on the Maya Road envelope to make the little house. The photos show Harriet playing outside her play house a few years ago.
To make the blue letters I applied glue & glitter
to the waste peel off backs of the Cosmo Cricket alpha.

Does exactly what it says on the top !
Just a little dig at my teenage son !
With the hybrids it is so easy to create any title you want regardless of length.

On the flip side...

Here is the sneak peek close up of one of the classes I will be teaching at the
October GoGo Getaway.
Although I have attended these events before,
this will be my first time as a teacher
& TBH I'm really excited and honoured to be doing this.
'We may be a little 'two faced' in this class, but it is flippin' stunning all the same! Take note that all is not what it seems and get ready to be turned 365 degrees as we reveal a cool technique that will have you looking at things from both sides in no time at all. An hour of back to back WOW, some may say!'

my owl has now been joined by miniature one
& a fox courtesy of my 2nd son
(fox is my scouting name !- it could have ben a whole lot worse !!)
In a fit of madness at the weekend
I agreed to take part in a fabric CJ at my local crop
so hence this is our dining room table !
as I rummage for inspiration !

fresh new fall again !

I realised in the back to school whirlwind that I'd forgotten
to share these 2 september Lo's here.

My Frog Prince.
What do you do when your son stands at the back door with a frog in his hands ???
Photograph them of course !!
So this is Matthew looking very pleased with himself.
The frog is paper pieced together.
The Jilly Bean corrugated alpha is just gorgeous to use
and can be inked, painted or left au natural !

Make a Wish
Recently I've been trying to improve my photography a little
& this photo is one of my favourite macro shots.
The organic colours & textures in this kit are ideal.
I've used the hessian circles, the teal thread
and wooden buttons to recreate the dandelion.

Thanks for looking .

WOYWW !

I can't quite believe it's wednesday already !!
Welcome to my workdesk x
As you can see it's rather messy by my standards
& there is a very good reason behind that !
I made the decision to finish my Christmas journal for 2009
what !! you say !
I have decided to either complete things or bin them !
harsh I know but I find a pile of half done stuff so sad.
Due to a big change in my situation in January, this book was left abandoned.
Well no more.
I've got only one page and a little journalling to go
and don't I feel proud of myself ! lol
Many thanks to Julia for creating WOYWW & to see other desks
please use the link
have a good day

Bits to share...

I went to a promarker masterclass last night held at my local craft store,
I really enjoyed having a play
& coloured a number of stamped images,
I can see me doing a bit of this in the winter evenings.

Just Chillin'
This is based on a Stuck Sketch
using mainly Sassafras.
I get a bit nervous with messy supplies but
here I misted the background with 2 colours & I'm pleased with how it looks.
Photos of the children eating Haagan-Daz icecream in Corfu Town.

Here are my august yearbook pages
coving our cruise,pony camp,
the boys visit to the Czech Republic with the Scouts
& Harry visiting our chickens !

WOYWW !

Welcome to my work space this morning.
I have a project on the go that I can't share at the mo
so instead thought you might want to see the left hand end
of my work top.
There is a Lo & mini book awaiting title & journalling
( not my strongest suit !)
my ladybug for playing/charging my i phone &
the cake stand thingy !
Here's a closer shot of it !
In fact I have 2 that my DH picked up at an auction.
I tend to keep little bits & pieces
or new things on there so when I'm looking for
that last embellishment, this is where I look first.
The Bagpuss mouse plays the theme tune & transports me back to another era.
Just to update, I have booked myself on a Promarker Masterclass
at our local craft store so I can make better use of my birthday present.

Thanks to Julia for WOYWW
& check out her desk here.

Fresh New Fall...

Here are the first 2 pages made with
Scrapagogo's september kit.
It is my most favourite to date,
overflowing with lush products which co ordinate so beautifully.

Knit Twoo
When I saw this little fella on a blog i knew
I had to try to learn to knit again
so i could make him.
I loved the hessian so much that I attached it to the
cardstock so i could use it for the background.
I embellished the hybrid owl with sewn wings and a pin tail,
and added lots of patterned circles to both the branches using
foam pads for added depth.
Endangered.

The blues and greens in this kit reminded me
of this pic Paul took of me at Sea World,
I have a thing about the Manatees
& will watch them for hours if I can !
The "seaweed " is made from this months tree stamp
and the sub title mounted on a Prima leaf from the Go to pieces.

Back to school

Well today was finally
Back to School day for us.
After 9 weeks off we are all going to find it hard
to adjust back into this routine.
I couldn't believe it when the alarm went off
but here are my 3 posing at 7.30 am !
and the sun was shining !!
Bet they won't be this happy by friday morning ! lol !

Create & Co...

I saw this sketch go live on Create & Co
this week & here is my version.
I've kept pretty true to the original but flipped it over.
This photo was taken on my birthday,
in one of the restaurants on board the boat.
I certainly developed a taste for champagne whilst we were there !!
The papers are Bo Bunny Peacock Lane
prima flower & elles studio journalling card,
and Thickers alpha.

WOYWW !

What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday !

This little bit of fun is run by Julia
hop on over to see whats on everyones desk
this fine september morning.

Sorry for the poor pic .
This is where I stand to scrap.
I spy I nearly completed Lo- on the left
my glass cutting mat & guillotines
The Promarkers were a birthday gift
& I've never had them before so am keen to try them out.
The open tin on the left holds my tools
with the bin & baby wipes close by- I try to tidy as i go, well thats the theory !
