Loving Basic Grey.

I'm sure you will agree with me that when your life gets incredibly busy, something has to give...and for me its been my blog :( But I'm hoping to get back on track over the coming weeks. So today I'm sharing the pages for my Hey Little Magpie post for March.
They were all created using the Basic Grey Urban Luxe range.
The bright colours really drew me to these papers & its such a shame they will no longer be producing paper ranges .
These papers could have been made for this photo taken at my brothers wedding.
This is a colour combo I love to use & I added texture paste and mist to the background paper. For all the details check out the original blog post here.

Project Life - June Edition.

This month has taken me longer to complete than normal as to be honest I was dreading it. I know the reason I do Project Life is to record our lives & events big and small but this month incorporates the worst thing that has happened in all the years I've been doing this project. My Mother in Law died after a brief illness. I have tried to include it sensitivity with all the journalling hidden behind photos with tabs, but I may come back and alter it when it is less raw for us.
June including...
...movie night, kilo sale, family bbq, crochet...
...new bed, crochet, planning a funeral, 50th birthday...
...Queen is 90,A level & GCSE exams, visit by Eileen, movie night, gardening...
...last day of school, graduation ball, fathers day...
... saying goodbye, funeral, voting, GCSE art display...
...hen night, house clearing, cubs 100, degree award...
Thank you for looking.

Taking iPhone photos at night.

For a post on shimelle.com I had a play with my iPhone & an app I found to take interesting photos of lights at night.
We had lots of fun trying it out in different setting including at a fun fair & with torches in our garden.
When we got more confident we tried with sparklers & I loved the result so much I had to scrap it.
I used a Just Nick cut file which I splattered for my background then used supplies from all Shimelle ranges to finish it off.
I'm pleased with now it turned out. If you try the app I'd love to hear how you got on. Full detail are found here at Shimelle.com.
