Scrapping...

Whilst away recently with friends I got a little scrapping done & thought I'd share.
I love this photo taken last April of our Daughter & knew the October Afternoon papers- Sidewalks were what this photo needed :) I'd already used some of these papers before so wasn't left with much to use but I quite like the white space on this Lo.

The Sky's The Limit.
The coloured picture actually started out plain cream, from the October Afternoon Sidewalk Miscellany pack. I used watered down Tim Holtz distress inks to "watercolour" the children & background to add interest & detail.

To finish off I added some pearl gems & a couple of punched clouds
( thanks Jackie for the borrow :) )& my letter stickers.
Hope you like it.

Lessons in Messy!!

Whilst we were away last weekend artist & art journaller Bernice gave us a lesson on using paints, sprays, mists, stamps & inks to make backgrounds & journal pages. She is extremely knowledgeable & talented and it didn't take long before she had us all getting inky & painty in the garden.

Even the most reluctant were swayed by the amazing array of supplies Bernice had generously brought with her for us to try out. I was fabulous to see the group enjoying something totally different & also loving the results they were getting.

This was my first piece - totally loving both the colours & the texture created.

Many Thanks Bernice x
